Sports Day 2018

CFS Sports Day at Liverpool College this year was memorable for lots of reasons. The day started with rain though we hadn't seen a drop for weeks, but we held our nerve and continued with our planned picnic and outdoor programme.

The minibus with all the equipment broke down, but Mr Burch had loaded up the night before and set off so early that we still had time to set up in good time. The gazebos all arrived and were put up to protect us from the fearsome sun, then the threatening rain, and in the end held up bunting beautifully!

The races all started and were completed with enthusiasm and gusto and by the end of two hours had everyone cheering for their houses.

And Bethel won! It was close but they also won the sportsmanship trophy. Well done Bethel!

The Pips race was very sweet and was over in a flash, and the parents sack races and past pupils' race were very very competitive! And memorable!

A big thank you to all parents, family members, past pupils and pupils who participated and supported in lots of ways, and a special thanks to the catering team and stall organisers who organised refreshments and helped make CFS sports day a really successful day.

We hope you enjoy Daniel's wonderful photos and you have a wonderful summer holidays.
