Birthday Assembly

On Friday 23 February we celebrated our 37th Birthday! We had an extended assembly for all the pupils, parents and friends new and old, from our school community.

The assembly was ably led by Year 11 and supported by the Upper School worship band; there were inspirational talks from Josh and Chloe, and memories from Mr. Waterfield, who used to be the music and performing arts teacher and was a special guest.

Lower School sang a special version of Happy Birthday, and the morning ended with an opportunity for everyone to stick a note into one of two enormous birthday cards, describing what they were thankful to God for about CFS. Here are some of the things that children, parents and friends were thankful for:

- a loving community and relationship with God
- good education that we get
- staff over the years who have sacrificially taught our children
- teachers who care for me, as much as my academic achievement
- school as an extended family
- smiles, encouragement, challenges, opportunities, love and support
- being a loving community where God is present
- teachers that protect us and make us feel safe.
