Singing at the Victorian Fair

On a sweltering Bank Holiday Saturday the CFS Middle School Choir donned their Victorian clothes and set off for a Victorian Fair held in Princes Park. The event organised by Friends of Princes Park included donkey rides, a hot air balloon, stalls and traditional fairground rides.

The choir performed in the ‘tea tent’ whilst the audience enjoyed cream teas and even sang along. They sang songs from the Victorian era including Daisy Bell, Ilkley Moor, Scarborough Fair and Oh! I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside.

One city council youth worker was so impressed that he asked if the children would attend a recording session to make a CD of their performance!
