Public Speaking Winners

The Final of Liverpool Law Society’s 2013 Merseyside Schools Public Speaking Competition took place on Monday 11th March in the Moot Room at Liverpool John Moores University. The winners of the 2013 competition were Sophia Lawrence and Joel Ridley from CFS. Miss Lord commented 'We would like to thank the Liverpool Law Society for providing a really challenging, stretching and exciting experience for our team members. It has been a great opportunity for us to compete with some of the best across Merseyside, and we are thrilled as a small school to be selected as winners in the first year of our entering the competition.'

The pupils, aged 13 to 15 years, were asked to present on the challenging topic of “Should evidence obtained from a witness who may have been tortured be disregarded in all circumstances?”
