Partnership within a church context implies that:

  • Teachers and parents generally have strong relationships with each other within the church in Merseyside. We draw from as many as 40, generally quite interrelated, local churches.

  • Teachers' lifestyles will be known within the community, so parents can have confidence in the values being imparted and the character traits being modelled.

  • The Foundation Governors of the school are generally in church leadership.

  • The school model partly reflects both a family and church community structure. It is able to do this through such things as pastoral care, the relatively small size of classes, the organisation into age-related units, the interrelation of ages through a house system and community events and the general ethos.
