Set on a hill, we overlook Liverpool city centre and on a clear day enjoy wonderful views of the Welsh hills. Children learn in a light and clean environment. The purpose-built site is designed with specialist rooms for Science, Technology, Physical Education, Art, Music, and Information Technology. There is a large play space and we make regular use of our hall and stage for worship and expressive arts presentations. We enjoy some of the city's best off-site facilities for tennis, athletics, basketball, swimming and water sports. Our main outdoor pursuits program is held in Wales at a Christian adventure centre. We also take full advantage of local environmental study centres, museums, art galleries and wildlife centres.
The school is situated on one site in a single, purpose-built building. The main building consists of four floors, divided into classrooms which are designed for specific areas of the curriculum. These include two science laboratories, two art/textiles rooms, a lecture room and a fully equipped IT room, as well as a number of large general purpose classrooms. The long single-storey extension houses the administration area, the music room and a common assembly hall. External facilities include a car park and a grassed area at the front of the school. At the rear there is a large hard surface play area and a sports field.
The school also makes use of several excellent sporting facilities within easy access of the school. Facilities at other venues include the use of Liverpool University's swimming pool, a medium-sized pool at the Picton Tennis Centre, Picton Athletics Track, the Kensington Sports Centre, plus the use of the Watersports Centre at the Queen's Dock for canoeing, sailing and windsurfing.
